This a portrait of my beloved grandparents, who I called Nonie and Dadu, and their little dog Annie. Nonie and Dadu were, and still are, integral parts of my life. Oil portraiture is a timeless medium, and when pieces are properly cared for, they can last hundreds of years. I made this portrait for the next generation of my family who will not meet Nonie and Dadu, but will know how important they are to our family.
